APEL
Founded over 20 years ago, the Saint Gab Parents Association is affiliated to the National union of autonomous parents' associations (UNAPEL).
In 2007/2008, the board of governors was composed of 16 members. It maintains relations and mediates between parents, the school's management and teachers.
The association also offers help to families faced with particular difficulties, organises conferences and lends financial support to original teaching initiatives.
The association also organises the representation of parents in staff meetings, various committees and on the establishment's board of governers.
The association has had its own web site for 2 years: www.apel-saintgabriel.fr v(our site is currently inaccessible).
The web site's "News" tells you everything that is happening in the Establishment every week; in the "Press release" section, you'll find features on education, proposed bills, innovations, etc.
In the "Board of governors" section, you'll find reports by the whole of the association's board and many other sections besides for you to discover.

APEL is there to protect your interests and those of your children and to help you in your task as a pupil's parent. You'll find a subscription form to teh association inside your child's Saint-Gabriel registration kit. Every member of APEL will receive a copy of the "Family and Education" magazine.
