The world is a village
This expression represents the very DNA of Saint Gab: ever since the founding of the "Saint Gabriel boarding school" in 1838 by the brothers of Saint Gabriel and that of the "Saint Michel boarding school" in 1951 by the Sisters of Wisdom, the institution has always striven to promote the values of discovery and open-mindedness.
The discovery of self and others by learning about community life thanks to an educative approach based on receptiveness, listening ability and work guidance.
The discovery of knowledge, techniques and trades by means of structured learning, advanced technological equipment, educational tools, top-quality contributors, and a high level of interaction with businesses.
Open-mindedness, achieved through a good mix of social origins among young students, numerous religious training possibilities and a huge diversity of sports and cultural activities.
Openness onto the world, with a focus for the last few years on the international aspect of courses: advanced modern languages, European exchanges, introduction of Erasmus Charter.
And finally openness onto the environment, thanks to a pleasant, unspoilt setting, enabling young people to cultivate their minds, while taking advantage of the peace and beauty of the natural open spaces.
It is this original approach that makes Saint Gabriel/Saint Michel, enriched by the educative works of both its religious congregations, far more than an educational establishment: it makes it an educative living environment, where everything helps youngsters grow up in harmony with themselves, with others and with the current world.
