Industrial Mechanical Construction

2 laboratories are made available for all pupils of the Bac STI science and industrial technology baccalauréat, BEP technical school certificate and Bac Pro vocational baccalauréat, for their construction classes.

This comprises 3 sections: a computing section for computer-assisted design (CAD) (3D modeller) and the use of special software to teach an awareness of mechanical engineering (statics, dynamics, materials resistance, etc..), a section reserved for practical mechanical engineering projects, and a synthesis centre. The purpose is to carry through to a successful conclusion technological activities aimed at developing controlled use of a solid modeller and other software programs enabling implementation of a digital process chain.

Laboratories offering determining classes of a technological nature for fifth forms on general and technology courses

2 laboratories for an "introduction to engineering sciences" (ISI) organised into several areas for observation and awareness-raising among students and to help develop their knowledge and application of approach methods to actual products.

These laboratories offer various real-life industrial systems to assist pupils with building or fine-tuning their personal projects through a variety of learning activities. The systems chosen encompass different technologies (mechanical engineering, electronics, electrotechnical engineering, computing, automatism, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc..).

Examples of didactic models include: bus doors, CD and DVD players, electric scooter. Both laboratories are equipped with a computer network to facilitate practical projects and the learning approach for various activities. The teaching of English forms an integral part of this subject with the appropriate tools.

A "Computing and production systems" (ISP) area is reserved in the computer-integrated manufacturing workshop, for this determining course with an additional specific room equipped with computers and special software programs.

Pupils are introduced to the production workshop environment and get to understand the organisation of a modern production site. To assist them, they have all the equipment described under "Computer-integrated manufacturing channel" and have the benefit of equipment in other laboratories, such as the electrotechnical engineering, electronics and automation labs.

A "Physical Measurements and Computing" (MPI) laboratory is available for fifth-form pupils having chosen Physical Measurements and Computing with another determining technology course (ISI introduction to engineering sciences, ISP computing and production systems). It is equipped with basic electronic measurement devices, networked computers connected to the WEB, and offers data acquisition equipment enabling the automation and processing of measurements.

This laboratory aims to promote the science and technology culture and confirm the student's choice of project path, for example, towards a Scientific "Engineering Sciences" baccalauréat or an STI science and industrial technology baccalauréat, such as Electronic Engineering or Electrotechnical Engineering.
